Supported Independent Living (SIL)

At Good Life Care Services, we specialize in NDIS Disability Services, offering Supported Independent Living (SIL) to help you live as independently as possible. SIL is a NDIS-funded service where we provide support and supervision as you go about your daily life. This service is most offered in shared living arrangements.

For many individuals with mental illnesses or disabilities, living alone or with family may not be possible. Shared or group accommodation provides essential day-to-day support in a suitable living environment. We carefully match housemates based on compatibility and shared interests, ensuring a harmonious living situation. Typically, our accommodations are shared between two to seven individuals, each with their own private room.

Our services include:

• Budget Management: Assistance with financial planning and budgeting to enhance financial independence.
• Daily Household Tasks: Support with cooking, cleaning, and laundry to maintain a clean and healthy living environment.
• Public Transport Navigation: Help with using public transportation for social visits and daily commutes.
• Personal Care: Assistance with personal hygiene tasks like showering and dressing.
• Grocery Shopping: Support with shopping to ensure a nutritious and balanced diet.
• Daily Skills Training: Help with acquiring practical skills for daily living, aimed at fostering independence.

At Good Life Care Services, our commitment is to provide comprehensive support to enhance your ability to live independently and confidently. We focus on empowering you to manage daily tasks effectively.

Three levels of support available:

• Lower Needs: Involves supervision of living arrangements, usually not on a 24/7 basis.
• Standard Needs: Includes assistance or supervision with most daily tasks, available 24/7.
• Higher Needs: Provides management of challenging behaviours, positive behaviour support, and comprehensive assistance with daily tasks, with 24/7 active support.
